The Clerk will be the Proper Officer of the Council and Responsible Financial Officer taking on all the duties associated with these positions. Kibworth Joint Burial Committee - Clerk vacancy

A vacancy exists for the position of Part Time Clerk to the Kibworth Joint Burial Committee. This role involves being prepared to work extremely flexible hours, averaging 7 hours per week, working from home, regular visits to the cemetery and attending 6 evening meetings per year.

The role requires excellent communications skills as it involves dealing with people at a highly emotional time, funeral directors, cemetery visitors, etc. Administrative tasks comprise of cemetery record keeping, maintenance of accounts up to annual audit level, VAT records, budget preparation and overview, taking and publishing minutes and regular liaison with Committee members at all times. The ability to work on one's own initiative is imperative, together with excellent IT skills.

Salary Scale LC1 grade 15 – 18, depending upon experience, which currently equates to £8.873 to £9.392 per hour, with annual increments.

Queniborough Parish Council has a vacancy for an Assistant Parish Clerk. The post is for eight hours per week. Additional hours may be required on completion of a six months probationary period. Hours are by arrangement but some of the hours will be worked on a Wednesday or Thursday. The successful candidate should have good IT and communications skills and be able to attend at least one evening meeting per month.
