Council tax figures 2018-19

The average band D council tax set by local authorities in England for 2018-19 is £1,671, an increase of £81 or 5.1% on last year's figure of £1,591. This includes the parish precepts and represents the highest council tax increase since the mid 2000s.

LRALC achieves 100% membership levels amongst Leicestershire local councils

Having just returned from a meeting of Snarestone Parish Council in North West Leicestershire I am very pleased to report that with Snarestone's decision this evening to rejoin LRALC we now have all local councils in Leicestershire in membership.

Leicestershire County Council colleagues would like to advise Parish and Town Councils that the grass cutting season commences on Tuesday 3rd April after the Easter Weekend.
