Session overview:

This hour long briefing is designed to provide parish and town councillors with the knowledge, training and awareness they need to make good decisions about how to implement and apply data protection law on a day to day basis.

It is also strongly recommended that this session is attended by clerks and other staff members responsible for implementing council decisions.

The session will provide delegates with an overview of the General Data Protection Regulation and outline what steps a council should be taking to ensure compliance.

Topics to be covered include Data Audit, Privacy Notices, Subject Access Requests and other key areas. Upon booking you will have the opportunity to complete a brief pro-forma outlining any specific questions or issues on which your council requires specific guidance.
