IOSH Managing Safely

This three-day course is professionally recognised in the industry and is widely acknowledged to be essential training for any clerks designated as the Health & Safety Officer for their Council. The course will provide town and parish council clerks with professional support when undertaking Health and Safety tasks on behalf of the council and, in doing so, helps protect the council against negligence / fines in the event of a Health and Safety issues occurring. The course covers the drawing up of Risk Assessments and is formally assessed and certified at the end of the course.

Monday 14th October 2019 (9am to 5pm)

Thursday 17th October 2019 (9am to 5pm)

Wednesday 30th October 2019 (9am to 5pm)

A 22 question, multiple-format assessment paper and a risk assessment based project. Candidates are sent away at the end of the course with a project to complete in their own time for submission within an agreed timescale.

Certification: Successful candidates will receive an IOSH accredited certificate to confirm that they have successfully completed the IOSH managing safely course

Places available: 12 delegates

Cost per delegate: £490 (member rate) including buffet lunch

Cancellation requirements

As this course is being delivered by an external provider we are required to confirm final delegate places three weeks in advance of the course taking place. As such, should circumstances mean that you have to cancel your place after 11th September 2019 you will still be charged in full for your place. As such, councils should identify a substitute delegate, should the named delegate be unable to attend.
