Kibworth Beauchamp PC/Kibworth Harcourt PC - Deputy Clerk vacancy (Part time)
Applications are invited for the post of Deputy Clerk to both the Kibworth Beauchamp and Kibworth Harcourt Parish Councils.
The Deputy Clerk will work closely with both Kibworth Parish Clerks on a self-scheduling basis. They will be able to work from home, however, they will also be required to work some set hours during the day at the Parish Office, located at Kibworth Grammar School Hall. Additionally, they will be expected to attend some meetings, particularly for the Joint Burial and Joint Recreation Boards, which are held in the evening about twelve times per year. The job entails working for 20 hours per week, spread across the five weekdays. A flexible approach may be required from time to time and will be negotiated with the Clerk. A dedicated laptop will be provided as well as access to a printer in the Parish Office.
Training will be offered. Salary will be based on The National Joint Council for Local Government 2020/21 pay scales 7-12, depending on experience and appropriate qualifications, which currently equates to £10.44 - £11.53 per hour. At certain times, when agreed overtime is required, this will be paid at the hourly rate. Previous experience in local council work, whilst not essential, would be advantageous.
