    Garthorpe and Coston Parish Council has a vacancy for a parish clerk and responsible finance officer.

    Applications are particularly invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons. The parish clerk will be responsible for the administration of the business and finances of the council.

    The post includes some evening work and occasional attendance at civic functions. The successful applicant would be expected to have, or be prepared to obtain, CiLCA (Certificate in Local Council Administration). They must be computer literate, with good communication skills. A friendly and positive outlook is essential.

Coleorton PC - Clerk vacancy

Coleorton Parish Council is seeking to appoint a Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer. Experience and CiLCA qualifications would be beneficial but the Council will provide and support training where necessary.

You will need to be a good communicator and to have organisational, administrative and finance skills. It will be particularly important to maintain clear and accurate records so you will need to have good IT skills. All necessary equipment will be provided.

Your role will be to act as Clerk at meetings, prepare for, minute and follow up actions from those meetings and to act as the Council's point of contact for parishioners, other Councils and contractors. You will need to keep accurate financial records and advise councillors on legal and statutory matters.


The contract will be for 30 hours per month, working from home and within the Parish for meetings, etc on a flexible basis. There will be some evening work to cover meetings.
