Whetstone PC - Finance & Administrative Officer vacancy (Part time)

Whetstone Parish Council serves a rural commuter village on the border of Leicester. With an annual budget close to £260,000 and representing approximately 7,000 residents, it provides a wide range of services for the local community. The Parish Council is seeking to recruit a part time Finance and Administrative Officer who will be responsible to the Clerk for the day-to-day management of several of the council's services including finance and cemetery. The successful applicant will be required to work in partnership with other statutory bodies and the general public to ensure that the Council is delivering excellence.

Whitwick PC - Deputy Parish Manager (Part time)

Flexible working for 22.5 hours per week to include occasional evening meetings.

Salary, depending on experience, is NJC Spine point 25 -£15.37 (national pay award pending and parish council pension scheme)

Tugby & Keythorpe PC - Clerk vacancy (Part time)

Tugby & Keythorpe Parish Council has a vacancy for a parish clerk and responsible finance officer.

The parish clerk will be responsible for the administration of the business and finances of the council. The post includes some evening work, primarily for council meetings, and occasional attendance at relevant events.

Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons, ideally with an understanding of small rural councils.

The successful applicant will ideally have CiLCA (Certificate in Local Council Administration) or otherwise be prepared to obtain it. In the latter case, training will be offered and enthusiasm to learn will be seen as an essential alternative to formal qualifications.

He or she must be computer literate, with good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact positively with a wide range of people. Reliability, integrity and good time management are essential.

The post is subject to a probationary period of six months.
