Local Government Reorganisation 2025

Three separate proposals have been submitted by councils within the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland area by the March 21st deadline. These will be considered by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

LRALC will engage with all parties to make sure the voice of town and parishes councils is strongly represented.

Lincolnshire proposal

A further proposal has been made by Lincolnshire principal authorities which would see a combined authority covering the areas currently served by North Kesteven, South Kesteven and South Holland District Councils, together with Rutland County Council.

Other proposals involving Lincolnshire principal authorities have also been made.
