NALC has advised that this year's Transparency Fund is now open and have released the relevant form for use when submitting an application to the Fund (see below). Please refer to the guidance notes when completing your application. Completed forms should be returned to the LRALC office in the first instance.

NALC has announced the publication of the Good Councillors Guide to Neighbourhood Planning. This vital and innovative guide is the first of its kind and is aimed at local councillors who are interested in finding out more about their role in relation to neighbourhood planning.

As a local resident people have legal rights to inspect, ask questions about and challenge items in your council's accounts.
The National Audit Office has recently published this new guide on these rights, which are enshrined in law.

By the end of this month every Parish Council should have held their Annual Parish Council Meeting, and the Chairman of the Parish Council should have called the Annual Parish Meeting (which must be held by 1st June each year).
