LRALC has worked with and supported Alberto Costa by providing real life examples illustrating the needs for sanctions for the very worse breeches of the Code of Conduct at parish level. His office approached us following us writing to all MPs, and we were able to provide him with anonymised examples.

The SLCC were also mentioned in respect of their work around identifying the issue of bullying and harassments of clerks.

We provided Alberto with much of the information he used in his debate, illustrating the specific root causes of the issues we all face.

Thank you Alberto for asking us to feed into this excellent account of the real issues that a small number of councils experience each and every year.
