LRALC held its Strategic Planning Away Day today. LRALC officers joined Executive Committee members at Twycross Zoo's excellent conference facilities to discuss the next 3 years of the Association's development.

Over 70 delegates attended the Leicestershire County Council Annual Parish Council Conference held on Tuesday 9th July 2013.
The prize draw for the set of Christmas Lights (kindly donated by Blanchere Illuminations) has been drawn; congratulations to the lucky recipient, Barrow-Upon-Soar Parish Council.

The 4th edition of the National Training Strategy publication "Being a good councillor – Essential guidance for parish and town councillors" was published today by NALC.
This revised edition is a welcome and much needed resource primarily for new councillors but also for those thinking about becoming a local councillor.

The LRALC external audit briefing, delivered by Bridget Bowen from Grant Thornton, was held today and was very well attended, generating some interesting discussion and helpful questions and answers.
