New Version of The Proper Practices (The Practitioner's Guide) Due For Publication Shortly
The second draft of the 2022 version of Governance and Accountability (the proper practices, also known as the practitioner's guide) including a total rewrite of Section 5 has gone out for checking.

Calling All Councils - New Version of Practitioners Guide Issued
The Joint Panel on Accountability and Governance (JPAG) has published a new edition of the Practitioners' Guide (otherwise known as Governance and Accountability for Local Councils) and have also written a letter to practitioners' (e.g. clerks, internal auditors, and councillors) clarifying a range of queries.

New Governance and Accountability guide published
Finally the Joint Practitioners Advisory Group (JPAG) has published the new Governance and Accountability Guide. At their February meeting JPAG approved some modest amendments to the wording of the guide and while the content is not greatly changed a minor error affecting parish meetings has been corrected and some of the explanations in Part 5 have been made clearer.
