Playground Inspection training

Course tutor: Louisa Hill, Training Development Manager, PSS Ltd

Louisa has a Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Recreation Management and an Advanced Diploma in Education. She is an accredited RPII Annual Inspector and Trainer.

Louisa has worked in the Outdoor Leisure industry for over 20 years including 6 years as Senior Ranger and Playground Manager for Cardiff Council. This involved managing the day-to-day operation of over 120 playgrounds. In 2007 she joined Digley Associates as a Playground Inspector undertaking a full range of inspections, training and consultancy work for a broad cross section of customers. In June 2012 she joined PSS as Training Development Manager delivering a wide range of playground inspection related training whilst also continuing to undertake inspections and other consultancy work.

Overview:

The training will consist of a 4 hour session delivered with a combination of practical and theory elements. The purpose of the course will be to train candidates to undertake the regular visual inspection of fixed playground equipment at their sites and effectively record/report any issues identified. The syllabus will broadly cover the main elements of the RPII Routine Inspector Course focusing primarily on the practical inspection of the playground equipment.

This course is suitable for all Parish Clerks and those involved with playground inspections.

Please note that we do not normally allow commercial contractors to attend our courses as we are a not for profit body and our fees are set accordingly for parish councils. Please contact us before booking anyone who is not an officer, councillor, or non-councillor committee member of the council on our training courses.
